Citizens Long Distance
Offers long distance service for our customers at a rate of:
Continental United States $0 .15 Cents per minute
$0.10 Cents per minute with our monthly plan charge of: $4.95 / month
You have the option of using any long distance provider listed below.
You will need to contact the provider and set up service with them, then, contact us so
we can properly route it through our computer switch.
You will receive a separate bill from these long distance providers.
What is the Lifeline Program?
To help make telephone service more affordable, eligible low-income residential customers can qualify for a discount on qualified voice or broadband service at their primary residence under the Lifeline Program. The Lifeline Program is a government benefit program, the discount consists of federal monthly support of up to $9.25 depending upon service.
Only one Lifeline Program discount is available per household. Under the Lifeline Program, a household is defined as any individual or group of individuals who live together at the same address and share income and expenses. The Lifeline Program benefit is non-transferable. Consumers who willfully make false statements in order to obtain the discount can be punished by fine or imprisonment or can be barred from the Lifeline Program.
How do I apply?
To receive the Lifeline Program discount, residential customers must establish the eligibility of their household.
